Peace lily question?

I recently bought a peace lily plant its about a foot high i notice online they are saying they should be grown in a ceramic pot but mine is growing in a plastic pot will my plant be ok or should i get a ceramic one?

Peace lily question?
they can be grown in any type of pot

the soil quality and moisture are more important

they like warm temperatures

they like moist soil

they can%26#039;t handle full sun

they get droopy if kept too dry

fertilize monthly

I had a peace lily for over 10 years at home, it bloomed twice each year.

Different varieties of peace lily mature at different sizes and have variable leaf types.
Reply:They grow weak in a plastic pot.

Mine is in one also in the greenhouse.

It looks PITIFUL.

I will DEFINITELY put it in a ceramic pot if that is the trouble!

Mine has died back a little for the year---it got too cold, along with more plants, because I forgot to fix the temp.

Oh, well,...............
Reply:the plastic pots that come with plants are usually in bad shape. They have been handled a lot and god knows who was doing the fertilizing and watering. I believe that all plants purchased should be taken out of these pots and given a new life in anew pot with new soil. Peace lillies grown quite quickly and it certainly will do it good to start a new life out in a new larger pot.
