My cat is eating my Peace Lily....?

My cat is eating my peace lily. I searched web sites to see if it is hazardous to his health and they say they are, but only certian parts. He shows no signs of illness. I just want to know if I should move it to a less accessable place, since I%26#039;m not getting rid of the plant, or the cat. What do yu all suggest? Are the killers of kitties???

My cat is eating my Peace Lily....?
Sprinkle some paprika on it...it won%26#039;t hurt the plant, and the cat will never touch it again. :)
Reply:Yeah peace lily is poisonous.

Definately move the plant to a less accessable place.

You could try these things to keep your cat away from your plant:

lavender

pennyroyal

dried-blood fertilizer

mothballs (drop them into a can or jar, cover, and make a few holes in the cover).

cayenne pepper flakes

ammonia
Reply:You should move the plant out of the cats way and keep an eye on the cat to see if it gets sick. Personally I would not have a plant in my house that could harm my cat, but if you are going to keep both try sprinkling chili powder on the plant and the cat will stay away.
Reply:Yikes - of COURSE you should move it if your cat is trying to eat it! Shocked that you would ask that! http://www.drkatrina.com.au/yourpet/Cats... Personally I would never have a plant in my home that could kill my pets if the leaves were eaten and any responsible pet owner surely should think the same.
Reply:Put the plant in a higher place or put tin foil around the flower pot. Most cats hate tin foil...it won%26#039;t look very pretty haha, but it should get the job done.
Reply:Either Paprika or Pepper flakes sprinkled around the base of the plant.

Works every time
Reply:put the plant in a higher place and be grateful that your lily isn%26#039;t eating your cat
Reply:I%26#039;m not sure but I believe only the bulb is poisonous.
