How to take care of a lily?

i have a lily in my garden and it already flowers last spring. do i have to cut off the stem after that? do you think it will still flower this year? can you gave me a site i could visit on?

If it%26#039;s not too ugly, it%26#039;s best to let bulbous plants die down on their own. They are still photosynthesizing through the leaves, which feeds the bulb to give it the energy it will need to bloom again next year. Pinch off the dead blossoms but let the leaves die down on their own. Once the stem is yellow or brown and dry, you can remove it with no harm to the bulb. Reply:It is a good idea to cut flowers after blooming. Some lilies will bloom consistently each year, some will not.
