How long after planting oriental/asian lily bulbs before the the blooms appear?

I want to pot up some lily bulbs and have them bloom the end of June. How long after planting do the blooms appear? Should I plant now or delay planting?

It%26#039;s best to plant them in the fall so you may not get blooms this year. You could so go ahead and plant them now and see. If you do plant them now, it will not hurt for next year.

Reply:you cant predict when they flower ,
Reply:You need to hold the bulbs correctly (temp., not exposed to ethylene gas, ex. found in fruit in your fridge, etc.) and they have to be a lily that forces well...but the short answer is 63 days from planting. Do not over water after planting.
Reply:Most asiatics are mid to late summer bloomers. If you plant them right now, they might bloom by the end of June, but I wouldn%26#039;t count on it.
