My peace lily is suddenly drooped to the ground after a couple of hot summer days. How do I revive it?

My peace lily was in splendid shape till yesterday - it was even putting out a couple of new flower stalks. I keep it indoors next to the window in my bedroom, where it gets a couple of hours of direct sun in the evening. All of a sudden yesterday, it started to droop severely, and today all of its biggest leaves are touching the ground. One of its flower stalks is drooping too - it just makes my heart break to see it in this condition. I have been watering it regularly, and I just don%26#039;t know what I did wrong here. Please help!

they don%26#039;t take much water.

About 1/4 cup to 1/2 every few days and will perk right up in a few hours
Reply:Peace lillies go dormant after flowering which means they drop their leaves. They also don%26#039;t like to be wet and enjoy drying out between waterings.
Reply:Thriving in lower lighted areas make this plant work almost anywhere. Try to keep it within 5 to 8 feet of a window for best results. Do not place your plant in direct sun. Direct sunlight can damage the Peace Lily%26#039;s foliage. If the leaves begin to yellow, it may mean it is receiving too much sunlight. Move it to a less lighted area.

The main care requirement for your Peace Lily is water. This plant requires heavy watering, but you must allow the soil to dry out in-between watering to a point as well. This houseplant will let you know when it needs water. The leaves will begin to droop. Allowing the foliage to droop slightly in-between watering has turned out to be successful for me. However, do not let it droop severely. Once the plant is watered the foliage will spring back up. If you allowed it to dry out too much, some of the lower leaves may yellow and need to be removed.

This plant also loves higher humidity levels, so providing it with a nice misting a couple times a week will help the plant remain beautifully healthy.

try a fertilizer formulated especially for houseplants. Dilute it a bit too, because Peace Lily%26#039;s can be touchy to strong fertilizers.
