Yesterday my kitty ate part of leaf of stargazer lily, vomited after, seems fine. what should i do?

I didn't know this variety of lily is toxic until i researched online. My kitty doesn't have any other symptoms, but i'm not sure what i should do for him other than keeping a close eye on him. Please advise ASAP!

Since she vomited yesterday and is fine today all is well. She would have had a reaction by now.Keep cats away from plants as they will eat any of them.Know from experience.Easter lilies are not good either.
Reply:My Shih Tzu ate part of a stargazer lily when she was 6 months old. I called the vet immediately and he advised me to give her 1/2 tsp of hydrogen peroxide to make her throw up. I did that and my baby was just fine. I then went to the ASPCA web site and printed off their list of poisonous plants. I had to pull all the different varieties of lily's, azalia, and other plants out of the my garden and replant with SAFE plants. I think if you kitten has already thrown up, it should be OK.
Reply:I'm not sure if a Stargazer Lily is poisonous or not. I would call a flower shop or nursery to ask, since most vets will be closed today. You can also call poison control. They will help with pets too, not just kids. In the U.S. it's 1-800-222-1222

Vomiting is natures way of getting rid of something they shouldn't have had in the first place. If she seems normal today, eating, playing sleeping, etc, then you got away with a lesson learned.

Hope you baby is better soon!
Reply:Please take the cat to your vet.

Lilies are among the most toxic plants to cats.

Vomiting is one of the first signs of poisoning - kidney problems and other delayed reactions could develop.
