In the secret life of bees, how is lily similar to a bee?

Well im trying to write this one essay and like i need some assistance. i had thought of a couple answers but i cant thoroughly think the ideas all the way yet. i think that lily is similar to a bee because like a bee she escaped from her "hive" in search for a better place. can you guys think of anymore? any help would be appreciated! :D

Have you thought that instead of fleeing a hive, it's more like she returned to the hive. I mean, she returned to the place of nourishment and sweetness (both literal and figurative). In addition, she returned to the place where her mother was, or at least where the truth about her mother was. In the end, it turns out she belonged with the Boatwright sisters, so she would have also come home, like a bee returning to the hive after much wandering.
