I didn't realise until i got home from work i'd leant up a vase of Lilies, i rubbed vanish onto the stain and washed it but its still there, is it destrined for the rag drawer??
What should i have done?
Lily pollen on my best cream top...Help!!!?
The first thing to remember is to remove the stamens from the lilies....I think it's too late for your top now, next time just wrap some selotape/scotch tape around your hand to dab the pollen off - never rub, wet or brush with your hands!
You could try washing it in some bio detergent (if its washable), it's worth a try...
Reply:put it back on n i'll rub it for you
Reply:this work honest, do not rub or wash or brush the pollen. all you have to do is get sticky tape, wrap it around your hand sticky way up and gently pat it on the pollen. you will notice that the pollen lifts off with the tape. the pollen is like millions of little ball bearings so rubbing them just pushes them about your clothes, lifting them with tape really does work.
Reply:I got it off with SHOUT but I'd to wash it twice. Its in a spray bottle like VANISH. Good luck.
Reply:Buy a BIG badge and put it over the stain!! Sorry!!
Reply:what you have to do is get some washing powder.. washing up liquid.. salt... and vanish. mix them together and add toothpaste. leave it on your top for 48 hours then wipe off with a dry flannel ....
trust me it works!!!
Reply:Soak in cold water. remove from the water and add salt, leave till you see the stain removing and back to the cold water, you might have to add more salt but it will come out
Reply:The minute you get pollen on clothing the best thing to do is to get the hoover out and use one of the attatchnents to hoover it straight off off, this way you don't disturb the pollen
The minute you rub it in it is almost impossible to get it all out.
Looks like the rag drawer I'm afraid
Reply:at the dollar stores there is a product called L.A.'s awsome cleaner. a yellowish cleanser in a spray bottle, ive used this for everything from carpet cleaner to laundry treatment to cleaning the toilets and it works on everything ive used it for. it cant hurt to try. good luck
Reply:I'm interested in the answers to this one. I haven't yet found anything to get lily pollen out of clothing. Faded the stain, yes, but not completely removed it. Good luck - I read with interest!
