In the previous books was there any hint that Severus had a close relationship with Lily before hand?

im trying to remember if Severus ever let anything slip to Harry or anyone else. Did Severus ever say you have Lily's eyes?

I thought there was a hint in #5 when Harry looked into Snape's memory. Lily was telling James to stop bothering Snape. Also, I think there was a hint about how Snape looked at Lily.





This was the reason Harry stopped his Occulmency lessons.

Reply:Not that I remember. But in Order of the Phoenix, when Harry was able to see Snape's memories, it showed Snape being bullied by James and Sirius and Lily defended him :-)
Reply:no, it accually made it look like they, or at least lily didnt like snape.
